Please note these examples below are just a rough guideline to our prices. Every job is different and there can be many elements that determine how we quote for each Bitmap to vector conversion. Every job is priced by the time we estimate that it will take to complete.
Quality of Bitmap
The quality of the bitmap image you send to us can make a difference to our price quote. Very low resolution images may not be suitable to be converted, although you may be surprised to find out that we can work from some quite distorted images. But obviously this will require more skill and judgement on our part and so may affect the price.
Text and Typefaces
We can either redraw individual letters or we may be able to find the matching typeface. Even in some very low resolution images we still may recognise the typeface. So it’s always worth sending us your artwork to see if we can recognise the font typeface.
Using Similar Images
For very low resolution bitmap images we still may be able to salvage your artwork. For example you may have a coat of arms image where most of the graphic elements are clear enough for us to work from, but the lions either side of the shield are too detailed for us to see properly. A way round this would be to use a couple of different standard or generic lion images from another source which you could supply us to work from.
Always send us the best quality image you have, the higher the resolution image will not only make it easier for us to work from but we will also be able to produce a more accurate reproduction.
Images that include lots of special effects may be difficult or impossible to redraw in vector. If this is the case then we will let you know in advance and we can try our best to recreate the image as near as possible in vector format.
For example, images that have been created in Photoshop using special lighting effects, ambigous lines and soft beveled edges will usually be difficult or impossible for us to reproduce in vector.
Very detailed images
As our bitmap to vector conversions are all manually redrawn, any complex or very detailed artwork will obviously take us longer to do and therefore will be more expensive. Also we may have to allow 48 hours depending on the complexity of the artwork supplied.
