Using one of the
selection tools select the word and
from the main menu select TYPE>CREATE
OUTLINES
From the main menu
click VIEW>OUTLINE and your text
should look like this. |

From the keyboard
press A to bring up the "direct
selection tool" (white arrow).
Drag a box around the lower points of the
first letter as shown. While still selected press the "down
arrow" key from the keyboard to nudge the selection down. |

You should end up
with something like this. If not press
CTRL+Z to undo the changes and try
again. |

5.
Using the same selection methods
as step 3 drag a box around the points
on the "L" as shown, then
hit the delete key. |

You should be left with the "L"
minus it's bottom left section. |

| 7.
Using the "Pen tool" Press
"P" click on the bottom
of the "L" and draw a curvy
line under the whole word.

| 8.
This is how I decided I wanted mine
to look, but you may come up with
something different.
Select VIEW/PREVIEW from the main menu and LOGO word should
now appear solid instead of an outline.
Now select the whole word again using the Selection tool
and click a colour of your choice from the colour swatch. |

Select the whole word and then from
the main menu select OBJECT>PATH>OFFSET
PATH. |
